Participation in the AWS EdStart program enables  SchoolNow to tap the world’s leading authority on cloud-based technologies and apply the utmost in security, scalability and product development for SchoolNow and it’s K-12 customers.

“This relationship brings the training and support of AWS to scale and improve our platform,” said Eric Fulkert, CEO of SchoolNow. “Being accepted shows that Amazon believes as strongly in our platform and future as we do.”

SchoolNow, providing websites for schools and school districts since 2000, is on an aggressive track of innovation, providing the K12 and higher ed markets with a web communication platform that transcends a content management system and incorporates expandable add-ons like notification systems and mobile apps. The company is rolling out features that make it easier for school administrators to reach parents more effectively in more ways.

“We want to use our association with the EdStart program to help support our vision of helping parents help improve education outcomes through better engagement,” said Fulkert.

The program, which includes a designated AWS mentor assigned to work closely with SchoolNow managers, utilizes promotional credits that the SchoolNow development team will use to expand and elevate its communication platform to an even ‘friendlier’ plane utilizing voice, intelligent assistants and other AI technology. In addition to product development assistance around media, language and voice services, the company initially plans to engage AWS for technical issues, for example, relating to load balancing and firewall protection.

SchoolNow provides a cloud-based communications platform featuring ADA-compliant and fully accessible content management systems, text and voice notification systems, and mobile apps to K12 school districts, private and charter schools, and community and small colleges. The SchoolNow school communication cloud provides an agile and expandable platform in one seamless system that enables schools to add features and functionality to keep pace with technology and improve engagement.
