SchoolNow is not only turning customers’ heads with its new web communications platform, it’s garnering some recognition from the local business community. SchoolNow was an honoree at the 2018 Emerging Business Award program recognizing Cincinnati-area businesses on the move.

The award was presented to SchoolNow CEO Eric Fulkert at an April luncheon honoring the winners of the annual award.

“We’ve got some great momentum going at SchoolNow,” said Fulkert, “and this award is a tribute to the team we’ve been fortunate enough to build at SchoolNow. This reflects the culmination of a lot of hard work in committing to help schools better communicate using the web technologies that we’re developing. We're delivering solutions that are customer-driven, and service that is customer focused.”

The Emerging Business Award was presented on the heels of the company’s recent launch of a new content management system (CMS) platform that enables schools and school districts to manage their websites, voice, text, email and social media messaging and notifications from one single platform.

SchoolNow also embarked on a nationwide campaign to educate school administrators about the importance of website accessibility for people with disabilities. The company recently launched its School Website Accessibility Education Center that contains free resources to helps schools build websites that are ADA-compliant and fully accessible.

“We’re committed to helping schools reach their entire school community, and being able to accommodate any student, staff, or community member who may have a disability,” said Fulkert. “We’re helping schools fix the accessibility issues on their sites and helping them build ADA-compliant websites.”

Selected from more than 200 nominees, SchoolNow joined 20 other companies recognized for experiencing notable “growth, leadership, and expertise and the positive impact they are making in the lives of their employees.” according to Jennifer Aukerman, spokeswoman for event organizers LEADTribune, Cincinnati-based media company. Other 2018 honorees included Natural Foods division of The Kroger Co., Cincinnati Eye Institute, and The Dragonfly Foundation.

Fulkert was also featured in a video presented at the 2018 Emerging Businesses Awards ceremony. Keynote speaker at the event was Tim Schigel, founder of ShareThis, founding partner of Refinery Ventures and former fund Manager for Cintrifuse Syndicate Fund.
