Cypress Christian School

New web site is helping Cypress Christian School gain competitive edge, more users, and more unity among the entire school community

Located in a rapidly growing business and residential suburb of northwest Houston, Cypress Christian School, with its devoutly Christian-based foundation, has a niche in the local independent school market. But they're not the only ones. With dozens of independent school competing for students, Cypress needed a more powerful web site to distinguish its commitment to offering a 'distinctly Christian education'.  In addition to helping gain a competitive advantage, school leaders were looking to radically improve the breadth and number of site users – from content publishers to visitors – and reinforce the school's brand in the process.

With a new web site design powered by Campusuite®, Cypress is bringing its entire community closer together and closer to the school's vision of Christian education. With a stated dedication to fine arts and athletics, the school is tapping Campusuite's ease in adding photos, videos and other content to feature those two extracurriculars. Using Web 2.0 tools that require virtually no IT support, Campusuite enables the school staff to easily create and manage blogs and an array of frequently updated communications channels that enhance dialogue with its constituents. Cypress School, which is competing not only for students, finds itself also competing for potential faculty and staff recruits who embrace the principles now so clearly articulated on its new web site.

The Summit Country Day School

Nationally acclaimed private, coeducational school aims high and hits the mark when it comes to serving students from preschool to grade 12.

The Summit Country Day School is a nationally recognized coeducational Catholic school serving students from preschool through grade 12. With a reputation as impressive as the staid and picturesque grounds on which this storied institution is built, Summit came to Innersync looking for a quality web presence that would reflect the rich sense of local tradition and proud legacy of education the school has to offer. Through our design process, Innersync defined and established the visual design of the site built on key messaging and branding tenets, foremost of which is character education emphasizing spiritual and ethical values. Through use of the Campusuite®, we put in place the ready-made tools that would help the school keep its content fresh.

In addition to laying a communications foundation as strong as Summit's reputation as a leader in private Catholic coeducation, Innersync was charged with developing a virtual tour which guides visitors through a comprehensive interactive look at the school. Innersync also designed and produced a revenue-generating streaming interactive video to educate parents about the importance of giving to the Annual Fund. Through overarching design, targeted interactive tactics and easy-to-use content tools, The Summit Country Day School is fully utilizing a web site that connects all its audiences to its mission of academic excellence and spiritual growth.

KIPP LA

Progressive college-prep public charter school is turning heads and cranking out scholars in the face of declining trends in urban education.

A regional network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter schools, KIPP LA's mission is to prepare educationally underserved students for success in school and the world beyond. Part of the nationally-renowned Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP), KIPP LA currently takes the form of three schools serving elementary and middle school students in East and South Los Angeles. An aggressive plan of growth brought KIPP LA to Innersync, for this non-traditional school system identified online communications as key to building enrollment, faculty and staff, and financial support.

With a reputation for bucking the trend of failure common to many urban school districts, KIPP's results for academic achievement rival those of exclusive private schools. Part of the KIPP process and key to success is to surround the student with a concentrated team effort – a team effort that feeds on a program of exceptional educational methods and content. Innersync created an overarching web site with design templates that afford the flexibility for school staff to manage the pages themselves without the need for technical expertise. The main site links to individual sites for the three separate schools operating in Southern California. Central to KIPP LA's content development is the use of Innersync's Campusuite web management for schools, which puts the power of creating and maintaining the respective sites' content in the hands of the faculty, staff and extended KIPP community.

Lockland School District, a school system with a 150-plus year tradition of providing public education with small-town attention, is faced with many of the financial challenges shared by urban, public school systems. With a district-wide mandate to use technology wherever and whenever possible to streamline operations without sacrificing quality of education, Lockland chose Campusuite CMS as the foundation for its new web site. Campusuite, which eliminates the need for costly IT infrastructure, provided a new, cost-effective way for Lockland to not only manage its web site, but improve communications in the process.

Recipient of the Bronze Medal for Achievement and named in a 2008 U.S. News and World Report article as one of the best high schools in America, Lockland came to Innersync looking for a quality web presence that would capture the rich tradition of the district and create a new approach for how the district handled the content on its web site. Through use of the Campusuite® cms for schools, ready-made tools are helping the administrators and teachers keep content up to date.
